Welcome to another exciting year of Buccaneer athletics! I am very excited to welcome you to today’s game and hope that you will enjoy supporting young adults as they represent Grand Haven in a positive manner. I have been actively involved in school based educational athletics for more than 3 decades as a player, coach, and athletic director. After graduating from Colorado College in 1989 and concluding my football playing career I got my first coaching job at Arvada High School in Colorado. Since that time, I have had the privileged of coaching football, wrestling, baseball, and track at 5 different high schools. After teaching special education for 16 years, I began my administrative career as an athletic director and have served in this role for 10 years. Educationally, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences and History, a Masters of Arts in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and have completed more than 40 hours of post graduate work through Michigan State. I believe strongly that school sports provide a fantastic opportunity for students to express themselves and grow their minds as well as their bodies. It is the responsibility of all spectators, participants, and coaches to display the high level of sportsmanship and respect for others. Enjoy the event!
